In 1996, Shanghai Yanzhong Industrial Co., Ltd. fully invested to set up Shanghai Yanzhong Drinking Water Co., LTD. to produce Yanzhong brand pure drinking water and water dispenser respectively.
In 1996, Yanzhong brand water dispenser series products were the first to enter the main shopping malls and supermarkets in Shanghai, which opens a new era for water dispensers to enter the retail channels.

In 1997, Yanzhong took the lead in Shanghai to launch the popular sport cover bottled pure water and mineral water.

In 1998, Yanzhong took the lead in introducing a fully automatic 1-gallon purified water production line in China and was followed by other domestic brands later.
